MANILA — Vowing to continue working and directly bringing his message to the people until the last day of the campaign period, presidential frontrunner Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. on Wednesday pledged to address the perennial power supply problems in Occidental Mindoro after he wins in the scheduled May 9 elections.
Marcos said he is convinced that the fastest way to bring the province to greater progress and development, is to ensure a continuous supply of affordable power which in the process could stimulate trade activities and commerce in the province.
Kailangan nating ayusin yan, napakalaking problema niyan,” he said.
Aside from addressing the electricity problems, Marcos also vowed that he will fully support agriculture, health, and education programs in the province.
The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer also visited the party’s headquarters in the province before going straight to the UniTeam rally site at the Capitol Grounds where he was warmly welcomed by their supporters.
For his part, Governor Eduardo Gadiano said the province will give 101% of its support to Marcos.
Gadiano said Occidental Mindoro is one with Marcos as he brings unity throughout the country.
Marcos thanked the people of Occidental Mindoro for the warm welcome he received from the people.
Supporters cut his speech by shouting “Panalo ka na!” and “Hindi kami bayad!”
Kami po lahat ay nag-iikot sa buong Pilipinas at aming sinisigaw at dala ang mensahe ng pagkakaisa” Marcos said which made the people roared “BBM”.
He said the UniTeam’s message of unity has finally reached Occidental Mindoro.
After the event, Marcos went to the next UniTeam rally held in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro where he also met with thousands of supporters. (ai/mtvn)
