MANILA — The Quezon City government continues to help informal settler families (ISFs), who has been living in the city for years, fulfilling their dreams of having permanent homes.
Over the weekend, at least 100 families from four homeowner’s associations in Brgy. Gulod has gotten its land titles via direct sale and direct purchase programs fixed by their barangay.
With the help of the barangay, the grantees were able to finally buy the land where they have been living for years from private landowners.
Based on the report of the Housing Community Development and Resettlement Department (HCDRD), since July 2019, the city has been giving security of land tenure to over 17,000 underprivileged recipients via the city’s land acquisition and socialized housing program. (ai/mtvn)
