XI JINPING BINATI SI PRESIDENT-ELECT MARCOS; TINAWAG NA IKA-17 PANGULO

MANILA — Sumali na rin ang pamahalaan ng China sa lumalawak at dumaraming bansa mula sa international community na pumupuri sa Pilipinas ukol sa maayos at mapayapang halalan nitong nakaraang Mayo 9.

Kasabay nito, binati rin ni Chinese Pres. Xi Jinping si President-elect Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos at kanyang running mate na si Vice-President-elect Inday Sara Duterte.

“I am honored to forward the congratulatory message from H.E. President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China on your elections as president of the Republic of the Philippines,” ayon kay Huang Xilian, Ambassador ng China sa Philippines sa liham na ipinadala kay Marcos.

“Again, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines and in my own name, I would like to convey my heartfelt congratulations on Your Excellency’s election as the 17th President of the Philippines,” dagdag pa ng liham.

Idinagdag pa ng opisyal ng China na patuloy ang kanilang maayos na pakikipag-ugnayan sa Pilipinas para sa mas maayos na relasyon.

Kamakailan lamang ay pinuri rin ni Zhao Lijian, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, ang maayos at mapayapang halalan nitong Mayo 9.

“China congratulates the Philippines on the smooth presidential election. Our congratulations also go to the leading candidates. We hope and believe that various political forces in the Philippines will continue to work in solidarity for national renewal and development,” ayon kay Zhao Lijian, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

Kamakailan ay pinuri na rin ng US, Japan, at European Union ang naging maayos na halalan sa bansa kasabay din ng pagbati kay Marcos sa kanyang panalo.

Nagwagi si Marcos sa pamamagitan ng landslide matapos itong makakuha ng mahigit na 31 milyong boto at lumalamang ng malaki sa kanyang pinakamalapit na katunggali na si Leni Robredo, na nakakuha lamang ng 14 milyong boto.

Idinagdag pa ni Zhao, na nananatili ang maayos at matagal nang relasyon ng China at Pilipinas.

“We are good partners for mutually-beneficial cooperation and fellow travelers on the road to common development. Under the strategic guidance of our heads of state, bilateral relations have been steadily upgraded,” ani Zhao.

“The flourishing relationship has delivered benefits to both peoples and contributed to regional peace and stability,” dagdag pa niya.

Iginiit pa ng Chinese official na ipagpapatuloy nila ang magandang ugnayan sa bansa at pagtutuunan din ang pagtulong sa patuloy na pagbangon mula sa pandemya. (ai/mtvn)
