BACOLOD POLICE NETS P1.18M SHABU; 2 SUSPECTS ARRESTED

MANILA — The Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bacolod City conducted a buy-bust operation that yielded P1,183,200 worth of shabu.

The Drug Enforcement Unit of the Bacolod City Police Office launched the operation in Barangay Punta Taytay where two drug suspects were arrested early morning Friday, May 13, 2022.

Arrested were 26-year-old Pearl Je-Ann ELERA, and 20-year-old Riegel Troy QUIMBA, both considered high-value targets for illegal drugs.

“Despite the huge task of watching over the security of the recently-concluded national and local polls, our operatives have been relentlessly fulfilling their anti-criminality duties,” PNP OIC Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said.

“The PNP will remain steadfast in its Anti-drug campaign.”

The suspects will be facing charges in violation of Republic Act 9165.
