Robredo still refuses to concede but tells supporters to ‘accept decision of majority’

MANILA — In yet another condescending act, the camp of losing presidential candidate Leni Robredo reminded the public on Tuesday through election counsel Atty Romulo Macalintal to “accept the decision of the majority” even as the veteran election lawyer made it clear that the outgoing vice president is not yet conceding.

Macalintal’s manifestation on behalf of his client was made amid the canvassing of the votes for the presidential and vice-presidential elections at the House of Representatives.

He added that his client will not “object to the inclusion in the canvass of all the certificates of canvass for president from the various provincial and city boards of canvassers found by this honorable board to be authentic and duly executed.”

The veteran election lawyer likewise manifested that Robredo’s camp is “waiving appearance before Congress, which sits as the National Board of Canvassers.”

But Macalintal pointed out that Robredo still has not conceded rather, he was only quoting the incumbent Vice President when he made the manifestation before Congress.

“In her public statement, VP Leni Robredo asked her supporters that we need to accept the decision of the majority.
