BOC-NAIA conducts governance sharing activity with Macro Asia and PAL

MANILA — As part of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) commitment to enhancing coordination with its stakeholders and trade facilitation, the BOC Port of NAIA on June 14, 2022, has conducted its first governance sharing activity of the month with Macro Asia and the Philippine Airlines.

The meeting was attended by Macro Asia and PAL top brass who were led by Macro Asia President Eduardo T. Luy, Atty. Marivic T. Moya-MAC Senior Vice President for HR & Legal & Corporate Secretary, Amador T. Sendin-MAC Chief Financial Officer, Belgium S. Tandoc-MAC Vice Presiden for Business Development and Rhodel C. Esteban -COO – MACS.

PAL representatives were also present headed by Alfred Adriano-OIC Ground Operations Department & Airline Operator Council Chairman, Margaux Garingan-Manager Catering Standards Compliance and Atty. MJ Navarro-Sr. Counsel PAL Legal.

On the part of BOC NAIA, the team was led by BOC-NAIA District Collector Carmelita M. Talusan together with the various heads of warehouses, arrival, and bonds divisions.

The meeting consisted of presentations by BOC-NAIA which highlighted the reforms and achievements of the Port under Collector Talusan. Queries and concerns from Macro Asia and PAL were also addressed by the BOC-NAIA team. The day ended with the guests visiting BOC-NAIA’s exhibit hall which showcases the milestones of the Port.

In his statement, Macro Asia President Luy thanked BOC-NAIA for the Port’s accommodation of Macro Asia and that he looks forward to transacting with BOC-NAIA.

For her part, Collector Carmelita Talusan assured that the Port shall continue to foster a healthy environment that promotes trade facilitation between BOC-NAIA and its stakeholders.
