Oil companies implements ‘bigtime’ price rollback

An attendant updates their price board at a gasoline station in Quezon City on Tuesday morning after a new “bigtime” price rollback on oil was implemented.

Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Flying V, Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will cut prices per liter of gasoline by P5.70, diesel by P6.10, and kerosene by P6.30.

However, it was the first time that prices of oil products went down after four consecutive weeks of price hikes including last week where a “no movement” on prices was monitored. (Ieshua Jai-ren Asuncion/BC/ai/mtvn)
