MANILA — Police arrested Monday a member of a communist terrorist group in Cagayan Valley.
Rosielyn Domingo SIMEON, a.k.a. “Jinky, Eya/Lara, Di/Diya”, 34, was arrested by authorities at 9:30 AM, in Barangay Bulala, Camalaniugan, Cagayan armed with a Warrant of Arrest.
The operation was launched by a joint team from the 4th Maneuver Platoon of 2nd Cagayan Provincial Mobile Force Company, Camalaniugan Municipal Police Station, Regional Mobile Force Battalion, 2nd PNP Special Action Force and 77th Infantry Battalion Philippine Army.
The arrest stemmed from the implementation of a warrant of arrest against SIMEON for the crime of Illegal Possession, Manufacture, Acquisition of Firearms, Ammunition, or Explosives under PD 1866 as amended by RA 8294 and RA 9516, docketed under case number 2235-T, issued by RTC Presiding Judge EDMAR PASCUAL CASTILLO SR of Branch 11, Tuao, Cagayan dated December 14, 2021.
No bail was recommended.
Simeon is a member of the Executive Committee of a local communist terrorist group operating in Cagayan province where she is an armorer and member of the medic team.
The arresting team recovered from SIMEON three keypad cellphones, four sim cards, one power bank, four memory cards, one charger, one small pocket-size notebook, one box medical kit, and one P1,000 bill, and one flash drive.
The accused and pieces of evidence were brought to Camalaniugan Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
“Let me laud our police operatives for your steadfast commitment to quell the proliferation of illegal firearms, ammunition, and weapons.
