Militant groups stage concerted action at Camp Aguinaldo, urge AFP to ‘surface’ missing activists

Three days before President Marcos delivers his first state of the nation address (SONA), multisectoral groups stage concerted action at the general headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Camp Aguinaldo to press for the release, or “surface” labor organizers “Loi, Ador, Cha & Elgene.”

The protesters blame the AFP for being involved in the “extrajudicial arrest and detention” of labor organizer Ador Juat whom they claim to have been abducted together with Elizabeth Loi Magbanua. Elgene Mungcal and Ma. Elena Cortez Pampoza, meanwhile, were accordingly nabbed last July 03 in Tarlac and they remain missing until this day. (Ieshua Jai-ren Asuncion/BC/ai/mtvn)
