MANILA – United States Ambassador-designate to the Philippines MaryKay Loss Carlson arrived in Manila on Thursday night.

The US Embassy in Manila said Carlson is set to present her credentials to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday.

“So excited to be here! I cannot wait to get the ball rolling and engage with our Filipino (friends, partners, and allies) to further strengthen the thriving US-Philippines relationship. Maraming salamat (Thank you) for the warm welcome,” Carlson said in her first tweet in Manila.

Upon her arrival, Carlson presented her credentials to the Department of Foreign Affairs, saying she looks forward to exploring opportunities to further grow the two nations’ bilateral relations.
