MANILA — Vice President Sara Z. Duterte aims to provide a permanent home and office not only to her and her staff but also to succeeding vice presidents and their future personnel.

Atty. Reynold Munsayac, Office of the Vice President (OVP) spokesperson, disclosed this to the media saying that the move will result in stability and reduced costs in office operations.

“The OVP aims to establish and construct a permanent home and office for succeeding vice presidents and the OVP personnel,” Munsayac said.

“This will result in stability and reduced cost in office operations considering that future Vice Presidents would no longer need to rent temporary offices to house their staff,” he further explained.

Having a permanent office will make it more convenient and thrifty for the OVP and its personnel who don’t have to transfer from one location to another every time a new vice president is elected.

“This will enhance efficiency in the delivery of social services to the people,” Munsayac added.

The OVP is currently holding office in Mandaluyong City. But, during the term of former Vice President Leni Robredo, the OVP was located at the Quezon City Reception House in New Manila, Quezon City. While former Vice President Jejomar Binay held office at the Coconut Palace inside the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex in Manila. (ai/mtvn)
