MANILA — A fire broke out Sunday evening on the seventh floor of Palacio del Gobernador, home to some Commission on Election (Comelec) offices, the Bureau of Fire Protection said.
The fire reached the second alarm as of 7:02 pm but the blaze was eventually controlled at 8:05 p.m. and declared out at 8:16 p.m.
Comelec Spokesman Rex Laudiangco confirmed the fire incident.
“It appears one section of the ITD area on the seventh floor was affected. BFP is still managing the area and the situation is under control,” he said.
A report from the BFP-National Capital Region Public Information Office said the fire started on the seventh floor of the building where computers are believed installed. (Kiara Lauren Ibanez/BC/ai/mtvn)
