ILOILO CITY — Energized by the new civilian leadership of the Bureau of Customs under Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz, the BOC Port of Iloilo surpassed its July 2022 collection target by 100.93%.
Maharlika TV gathered that as of the last working day of July this year, the BOC Port of Iloilo under District Collector Dhucky Ugay recorded total revenue of P478,217,341.72, exceeding the month’s target of P238,000,000.00 by P240,217,341.
As early as July 13, Ugay said Iloilo Customs has already reached its July 2022 revenue target.
Moreover, for the period of January to July 2022, the BOC Iloilo generated a total collection of P2,797,315,485.89, surpassing its cumulative target of P1,958,480,000.00 by P838,835,485.89 or 42.83%.
Ugay expressed his appreciation to the whole Team Iloilo for their commitment and collaborative efforts in exceeding the Port’s monthly collection target for seven consecutive months.
He likewise recognized the unending support and trust of all the stakeholders of the Port.
The BOC looked “militarized” during the entire six years of the past administration since then President Rodrigo Roa Duterte had the penchant for appointing retired military officials at the helm of the revenue collection bureau. (ai/mtvn)
