MANILA – Following a warrant issued by a Davao City prosecutor for two counts of violations of Republic Act 10175 or CyberCrime Prevention Act of 2012, defeated Partido Lakas ng Masa (PLM) vice presidential candidate Walden Bello was arrested on Monday afternoon by Quezon City policemen.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Remus Medina said Bello was arrested at 5:00 p.m Monday, in his own home in Quezon City.
Leomar Doctolero, spokesperson of Laban ng Masa coalition, of which PLM is a member, confirmed Bello’s arrest who was then brought to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Station 8 in Project 4, Quezon City.
It was gathered that Davao City Regional Trial Court (RTC) 10 Judge Retrina Espe Fuentes issued the arrest warrant on Monday and a bail of P48,000 was recommended.
