MANILA — Pinoy K-pop fans will be thrilled to know that Blackpink is going on a world tour dubbed ‘Born Pink’ that will kick off on October 15 in Seoul and will proceed to the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, and with a stop in Manila on March 25 next year.

According to the popular monthly fan magazine Rolling Stone, ‘Born Pink’ aims to be the “largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group” while Blackpink is said to be the highest-charting female Korean act on the Billboard Hot 100 to date.

In 2020, Blackpink peaked at number 13 with ‘Ice Cream’ and on Billboard 200 it scored at number two with The Album in the same year, which is reportedly the best-selling album by a Korean girl group of all time and the first to sell more than one million copies.

Meanwhile, ‘Pink Venom’, a new Blackpink single, is set to debut next week on August 19 and its full album will be due for release this September.

Recently, the group dropped a teaser for ‘Pink Venom’ in an Instagram post with Lisa posting their picture with a sweet message to celebrate their sixth year anniversary together.

Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé are more than excited to be back as the group shared the schedule of the release of its upcoming single just yesterday. (ai/mtvn)
