MANILA — Who says funride can’t be both historical and for a cause? This was debunked on Tuesday by organizers of the first-ever Ride for Valor that will kick off on August 28 from Mariveles, Bataan to Capas, Tarlac.
Sponsored by Veterans Bank, proceeds of the Ride for Valor will be for the benefit of the maintenance of Bataan Death March and other World War II memorials.
There will be pitstops in four WWII heritage sites, namely Mt. Samat, Bunker in Balanga Provincial Capitol, San Fernando Train Station, and Capas National Shrine.
Stotsenberg Memorial in Clark and Bamban Historical Museum will serve as optional stops.
Registration has started on July 25 until August 25, with a registration fee of only P550, inclusive of a race shirt, bib number, and freebies along the way.
Those interested may register at the Bataan Tourism Center and at RD Cycles along E. Rodriguez Blvd., Bagumbayan, Quezon City.
All participants must be fully vaccinated.
Other sponsors of the event include Booster C, Air 21, Shimano, Lazer, Maxxis, and NeoZigma.
