MANILA — The price of “siling labuyo” has reached to as high as P600 per kilo, according to market monitoring by the Department of Agriculture (DA).
Based on the price watch of the DA, siling labuyo or wild chili, is sold for P580 to P600 per kilo in Las Piñas Market; P400 to P500 at Muñoz Market in Quezon City and Malabon Central Market.
In Pasig Mega Market, it is sold for P450 to P500 per kilo, while in Quinta Market in the City of Manila, it costs P480 to P500 per kilo.
Meanwhile, the Commonwealth Market in Quezon City has run out of siling labuyo.
Based on DA monitoring, white onions are still not available in wet markets, while the retail price of refined sugar remains at P100 per kilo.
