EASTWOOD CITY, Quezon City — Looking forward to defending its title, the local Blacklist International eSport team is getting ready with their best players to battle it out with the world’s leading teams in the M4 Mobile Legends World Championship to be held in Indonesia early next year.

According to Blacklist International team captain Johnmar ‘OhMyV33nus’ Villaluna, they are looking forward to defending their championship crown as they are very optimistic to retain their title even against other skilled players and teams from Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

In an interview over GrindSky Media in their social media account, OhMyV33nus, who was instrumental in leading Blacklist to back-to-back Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines titles, disclosed that he is excited to see their signature Estes skin in M4.

At present, OhMyV33nus and Blacklist are in the thick of their campaign in Season 10 of the MPL with a 3-2 win-loss mark and a victory will give them a ticket to the world’s most prestigious Mobile Legends battle.

“Your support inspires us to do well this season and we are bringing our best performance in every match so we can represent the country in the upcoming M4 event and use our signature skin,” the 28-year-old gamer from Antipolo enthused.

With a staggering prize pool of US$800,000—or roughly P45 million—at stake for the winners, the M4 Championships is set to take place from January 1 to 15 in Jakarta.

Unlike other eSports titles, qualification to the grandest professional Mobile Legends tournament will be done through various countries’ respective MPLs while those without an MPL would hold an open qualifier. (ai/mtvn)
