Mendoza has once again hit its monthly collection target by collecting P3,517,153,422.88 for August, with a surplus of P547.8-million or 18.45%.

Mendoza said the collection of BOC-POC for August is also P657.691-million or 18.70% more than its collection last year for the same month.

To date, Cebu Customs has generated a total of P28.085-billion in revenues and posts a running collection surplus of P3.180-billion for the year. The year-on-year growth has also reached P6.682-billion or 31.22%.

Mendoza credited the consistent performance to the hard work and steadfast commitment of the Port’s personnel.

He also acknowledged the stakeholders and partner agencies for their constant support of the Port’s initiatives and programs.

“With the guidance of Commissioner Yogi Filemon L. Ruiz, the Port continues to intensify its revenue collection efforts, as well as strengthen its trade facilitation and border protection measures, to support the national government’s fiscal strategies toward full economic recovery,” Mendoza said.
