MANILA — Several agreements are expected to be signed between the Philippines and Singapore next week, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will witness the signing of agreements on counter-terrorism and data privacy in conjunction with his visit to Singapore.
On September 6 to 7, Marcos is scheduled to make a state visit to Singapore at the invitation of Singaporean President Halimah Yacob.
According to the DFA, President Marcos is also scheduled to meet with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong during the said visit.
The President will also address the Filipino community in the said country.
“The president will meet the Filipino community in Singapore to personally assure them of the government’s continuing commitment to protect their rights and promote their welfare as overseas Filipino,” DFA said.
Before traveling to Singapore, the President will first visit Indonesia on September 4 to 6. (ai/mtvn)
