Book lovers enjoy reading materials at Book Nook as Manila International Book Fair opens at SMX-MOA

Two book lovers read books at the Book Nook during the opening of the Manila International Book Fair, held after two years of the pandemic at the SMX-Mall of Asia in Pasay City. The Book Nook now has 15 outlets in different regions of the country.

One of the priority projects of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the Book Nook, which has 15 outlets now in different regions in the country, is a flagship program of the National Book Development Board to bring in safe and friendly reading spaces among indigenous and vulnerable communities of the country, consistent with the overarching goal of promoting a culture of reading.

The project aims to ensure the readers’ access to quality books and other reading materials through a collaborative effort with the local government units (LGUs), non-government organizations (NGOs), and civil society organizations (CSOs).
