MANILA — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. did not show up at the World Food Day (WFD) celebration at the Department of Agriculture (DA) due to a conflict in schedule.
In an advisory, the DA Public Affairs Office said that Marcos has another schedule this Monday.
“Hindi po matutuloy na dumating si PBBM sa DA World Food Day celebration mamayang 3PM sa DA Grounds, may conflict po sa schedule ni PBBM,” the DA said.
Marcos is scheduled to attend the Philippine Tourism Industry Convergence Reception at the Convention Center Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City which is scheduled at 5 pm.
The President was represented by Agriculture Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban at the WFD celebration.
Meanwhile, farmers picketed in front of the DA in commemoration of World Food Day. (ai/mtvn)
