Army recognizes Marawi Liberation Anniversary exhibitors

MANILA — Philippine Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong pinned the Meritorious Achievement Medal (MAM) and Military Merit Medal (MMM) to the 21 valiant military, police, and coast guard personnel involved in the Fifth Marawi Liberation Anniversary exhibit last Monday (October 17, 2022) at the Philippine Army Grandstand, in Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.

Troops from the Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, Philippine Marines, Philippine Air Force and Philippine Coast Guard were awarded during the Marawi Exhibit Fellowship Dinner.

The awarding aims to acknowledge the significant role and hardwork of the personnel in the successful conduct of the Fifth Marawi Liberation Anniversary exhibit to honor the ultimate sacrifices and valor of the heroes of Marawi siege that started on May 13, 2017

Maj. Gen. Capulong also lauded the efforts of all Army units who selflessly executed their duties and responsibilities to honor and remember the remarkable story of the soldiers in liberating Marawi City from the Isis-Inspired Maute group.
