MANILA — The Department of Health (DOH) has confirmed the appointment of former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Camilo Cascolan as the agency’s new undersecretary.
Cascolan replaced Roger Tong-an as DOH undersecretary.
The DOH also announced that Atty. Charade Mercado-Grande was reappointed as health assistant secretary.
“Yes, we confirm the receipt of the appointment papers of Mr. Camilo Cascolan, Atty. Charade Mercado-Grande, and several directors,” DOH said.
“As regards your questions on their assignments, we will make available the assignments of our Execom members to you as soon as available,” it added.
Meanwhile, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has still not appointed a health secretary. (ai/mtvn)
