ITCZ continues to bring rains across PH

MANILA – Most parts of the country will continue to experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting alawan, the Visayas Mindanao.

These areas may possibly experience flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Tuesday.

The shear line, on the other hand, will also cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, and possible flash floods and landslides over the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quirino.

Isolated light rains will prevail over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Central Luzon.

Isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon.

Rough to very seas are expected over the northern, western, and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon.

PAGASA advised fishing boats and other small seacraft not to venture into the sea, and larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. (PNA)
