MANILA — The powerhouse team of Philippine National Police Patrollers displayed the stuff they are made of as they lorded it over in the recently-concluded 2022 AFP-PNP-PCG Olympics on combat sports.

The Patrollers started strong and stayed on to claim victories in two combat sports events, Taekwondo and Karatedo, during the annual sports competition also participated in by the Philippine National Police, Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force, and Philippine Coast Guard.

PNP Chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin extended his congratulations on the PNP leadership and to all the police athletes who competed in the annual inter-service Olympics.

“The event, though a competition, is an effort to unite the military force of the country. It nourishes the sportsmanship, athleticism, and camaraderie of all the participants.” PNP Chief said.

The PNP Taekwondo Team is packed with an experienced roster of veterans who also won in the 2022 World Police-Fire Games held in Rotterdam, Netherlands last August.

In addition, Team PNP also won its bid in the tennis competition.

“The PNP may not have won the overall championship, nonetheless, it has achieved the goal of the event to foster friendship and unity among law enforcers and soldiers and staying fit, be it in sports or in service. Mabuhay ang atletang pulis, sundalo at tanod baybayin!” Azurin said.
