MANILA — With the advance deployment of police personnel in the field, The Philippine National Police Chief, Police General Rodolfo S Azurin, Jr. urges the people to have an advance observance of holiday activities this weekend to avoid the rush and congestion on All Souls’ Day and All Saints’ Day.
“This coming Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are the best days to consider when planning to visit cemeteries, memorial parks, columbaria, and other holiday places of convergence to avoid crowding,” the Chief PNP said.
Azurin reminded the public to be mindful of operating hours, traffic routes, weather conditions, and other environmental and situational factors when planning for different activities.
“Plan your drive and drive your plan,” the Chief PNP added especially for the motorists traveling to the provinces to take extra precautions, especially in areas under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal due to Tropical Cyclone “Paeng”.
The Chief PNP made inspection sorties to the different cemeteries across Metro Manila today, as well as to mass transportation terminals hosting land, air, and sea travel.
“So far so good. All deployments are in place according to our security plan tailored to the situations expected,” Azurin noted. (ai/mtvn)
