LEGASPI City, Albay – As the observance of All Souls’ Day and All Saints’ Day comes around anew, the local cemetery attraction in Oas, Albay here is expected anew to focus on the unique tradition of the Relleve family’s style of painting the tomb of a dearly departed that started many years ago when their patriarch, Jose Reodique Relleve passed away in 2011.
Their traditional grave “branding” continues showcasing a different drawing every year, depicting the favorite brand of a departed loved one.
According to the Relleve family, they paint their departed father’s tomb with his favorite brands of apparels, liquor, and food. This year, they painted it with one of the country’s leading food chains. (ai/mtvn)
