BFP, Emergency Medical Service roll out recovery ops of typhoon Paeng victims in Maguindanao

MANILA — All units of the Philippine National Police’s Bureau of Fire Protection, including its elite force, the Special Rescue Force, and the Emergency Medical Service are now working together to recover victims of Typhoon Paeng in Maguindanao.

A total of of 67 dead bodies were recovered believed to have drowned after being swept away by raging floodwaters or being hit by debris-filled mudslides. in three towns in Maguindanao at the height of the super typhoon.

Rescue operations by BFP continues despite the of the bad weather, hoping to find missing residents who might still be alive in some of the barangays that were covered with mudslides. (ai/mtvn)
