Sen. Robin Padilla and other government officials visited the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Sunday to determine the needs of residents affected by Tropical Cyclone Paeng, which claimed more than 40 lives in the region according to reports.
Commercial flights to Mindanao were canceled due to bad weather but the actor-turned-lawmaker Padilla joined officials who flew there, including Special Assistant to the President Anton Lagdameo, Department of National Defense-OIC Jose Faustino Jr., DILG Sec. Benhur Abalos, and DSWD Sec. Erwin Tulfo. (ai/mtvn)
