MANILA — An expert on Friday warned that an increase in cases of COVID-19 has been detected following the implementation of the voluntary wearing of face masks.

Vaccine Expert Panel said Dr. Niña Gloriani advised that everyone should still wear a mask despite the Executive Order No. 7 to make it optional.

Gloriani also said that many of those affected by COVID-19 have removed their masks for a short time.
