TARLAC City – The 15th “Belenismo sa Tarlac” has officially took off the ground following the ceremonial switching of lights led by Defense Undersecretary Jose Faustino Jr., Philippine Army chief Lt. Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr., and Tarlac Heritage Foundation co-founders Isabel Cojuangco, and Isa Suntay at Camp General Servillano Aquino and Camp O’Donnell here last Friday (November 4, 2022).
A total of 51 colorful life-size entries depicting the nativity scenes also known as “Belens” were showcased by various business establishments, churches, homes, and municipalities.
Tarlac City, led by the Tarlac Heritage Foundation, has been celebrating Belenismo in the province during the Christmas season. The province has also been known as the Belen capital of the Philippines.
The annual display brings out creativity and camaraderie among the communities. (ai/mtvn)
