BAGUIO City — In preparation for the so-called “Big One,” the Department of Health-Cordillera Administrative Region participated in the fourth quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill on November 10, 2022, here.
The earthquake drill is a quarterly undertaking among public and private agencies.
During the briefing, Regional Secretary Rio L. Magpantay said that more casualties and injuries result from earthquake-induced falling objects while entering or exiting buildings rather than from the instability caused by the shaking ground.
Employees were also given orientation on the rules during an actual earthquake. (ai/mtvn)
