MANILA — The Department of Health (DOH) is planning to recommend changes in the COVID-19 alert level system and some of its restrictions.
DOH officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire said that the agency will recommend to the Inter-Agency Task Force to separate the alert level system and the restrictions associated with it.
The downward trend of COVID-19 cases continues for now in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon. However, Vergeire warned that the Philippines will continue to record cases of COVID-19.
But unlike before, it should not be feared especially since there are many ways to prevent the disease such as vaccination.
The agency also recommends the continuous wearing of face masks, especially for the vulnerable population.
