MANILA — The Philippine National Police (PNP) said Monday the number of crimes increased slightly as the holiday season in Metro Manila, Calabarzon and Central Luzon approaches.

According to Fajardo, crime often occurs in crowded places such as markets and public transport terminals.

Metro Manila is currently on normal alert but will increase the alert now that December is approaching.
