MANILA — Gabriela party-list Rep. Arlene Brosas proposed a P10,000 cash aid for 12.4 million Filipinos affected by high inflation, low wages, and a series of calamities.
“We join the Filipinos in urging the Marcos Jr. administration to urgently implement a P10,000 cash subsidy or Ayuda to 12.4 million Filipino families who are heavily affected by the record-high inflation, depressed wages, and series of calamities,” Brosas said.
Brosas added that despite the increase in prices, the workers’ daily wages remain at P570.
Brosas further said that the fund for the aid could be taken from the savings of 2022. (ai/mtvn)
