Army athletes rule 1st AFP-wide triathlon tilt

MANILA — The Philippine Army (PA) Triathlon Team ruled the Bonifacio Day “Race for our Heroes” Triathlon in Sangley Point, Cavite on November 30, 2022.

The PA Triathlon Team bagged three team championship awards: Overall Team, Overall AFP-PNP-PCG Triathlon Team, and Super Sprint Relay.

Army triathletes also ruled individual events with Private First Class Robinson Esteves emerging as champion in two categories: Super Sprint Advance Category and Fastest Male Category.

His teammate Staff Sergeant Reynaldo J. Navarro ruled the 40 to 50-year-old age category while Sergeant Lord Anthony R. Del Rosario and Technical Sergeant Allan P. Racines placed second runner-up and third runner-up, respectively, in the 26 to 40-year-old age category.

Special Service Center (SSC) Director Colonel John Oliver F. Gabun lauded the Army’s triathlon Team for showcasing the Army’s brand excellence in the AFP-wide triathlon competition.

The SSC Chief commended the PA Triathlon Team to continue training and sustain their winning momentum in upcoming competitions. (ai/mtvn)
