Meanwhile, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has highlighted the important role of media in national development.

Marcos said he has plans and ambitions for the nation that can only be realized if there is a concerted effort by all Filipinos during the courtesy call by representatives of Radio Mindanao Network (RMN) in Malacañang.

The President praised not only the Canoy family but also all the radio station staff members for their hard work, recognizing RMN as a dynamic force in the media.

“So the pledge of support and to bring our message to the people is an important one. It is something that those of us who are in government consider being an integral part of whether or not we are successful or not,” the President said.
“And by that, I mean that we need to know that everyone understands what we are trying to do, everyone understands what they can do to help, and everyone understands why and the method of what we are trying to achieve. And that is the most important thing for us,” Marcos pointed out.

He also expressed gratitude to RMN for its pledge of support.

“Thank you very much for all the years that RMN has been there to clarify things, to make things more understandable for people, and for helping in the national drive to a stronger economy,” Marcos said. (ai/mtvn)
