MANILA — The Bureau of Cstoms-Port of Batangas emerged as the No. 1 Collection District for 2022 all over the country as it registered a P33.15B target surplus according to a report posted on social media recently.
It has collected a record-high revenue of 204.04 billion pesos against its target of 170.89 billion pesos, and the Bureau of Customs-Port of Batangas registered a 33.15 billion pesos surplus behind a superb collection efficiency of 119.40% for the year.
With this exemplary performance, Port of Batangas emerged as the No. 1 Collection District in the Philippines in terms of revenue collection for 2022 contributing approximately 25% of the total collection of BOC.
POB has consistently surpassed the revenue target for all months of the year with an average monthly collection surplus of 3.5 billion pesos.
This year, the Port has also recorded the highest monthly collection in its history amounting to 19.53 billion pesos last November 2022, and the highest collection surplus of 7.46 billion pesos last June 2022.
In addition, POB overshoots its December revenue target of 15.96 billion pesos by 1.73 billion pesos with a total collection of 17.69 billion pesos.
The BOC-POB, led by the very hardworking District Collector Atty. Ma. Rhea M. Gregorio has once again proven that nothing is insurmountable with teamwork, dedication, and commitment to collect the much-needed revenue for the country’s economic recovery.
With the guidance of Commissioner Yogi Filemon L. Ruiz, POB is committed to striving for bigger milestones in 2023.
