MANILA — Senator Grace Poe said on Sunday that the investigation of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) fiasco will be continued thru an executive session.
“Merong mga proposal ang ibang kasamahan natin na dapat magkaroon muna ng executive session para ‘yung mga hindi nasabi ‘nung hearing ay masabi ‘nung iba na mas panatag sila,” Poe, chairperson of Senate Committee on public services.
The senator assured that the Department of Transportation (DOTr) continues to further investigate the airport glitch.
“So siguro pag-resume ng session magkakaroon muna tayo ng executive session pero in the meantime, patuloy naman ang pagtatrabaho ng Department of Transportation sa kung anuman ang mga hakbang na dapat nilang gawin para unti-unti ay maayos ang sitwasyon at maimbestigahan ito,” she said.
Last Thursday, Senate has conducted an inquiry on the said airport system glitch which affected thousands of passengers.
Those present during the hearing were Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista and Tourism Secretary Ma. Esperanza Frasco, former National Security Adviser Dr. Clarita Carlos, and Capt. Manuel Antonio Tamayo, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines director general.
