MANILA — Isang press conference na pinangunahan ng Rex Education tungkol Anti-Piracy ang idinaos nitong Miyerkules (17 January 2023) sa Manila Hotel.

Iba’t ibang lider at mga representative ng organisasyon ang dumalo sa conference, kagaya ng The Phil. Association of Law School, Association of Law Student of the Phils. Legal Education Board, Intellectual Property Office of
the Phils, National Book Development Board, Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations of the Phils, National Bureau of Investigation, Association of Administrators in Hospitality Hotel and Restaurant Management, Educational Institution, Phil. Librarians Association, Phil.Council of Deans and Educators in Business, Phil. Association of Collegiate Schools of Business, Phil. Association for Teachers and Educators, Professional Criminologist Association of the Phil, Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities, and the Phil. Educational Measurement and Evaluation Association.

Tinalakay rito ang Anti-Piracy Republic Act 8293 na ilegal at mahigpit na ipinagbabawal ang pangongopya at distribusyon ng copyrighted content upang mabigyan proteksyon at eksklusibong karapatan ang mga scientist, inventors,artist at mga gifted na mamamayan.

“We should continue to educate, communicate and instill among our colleagues, families, and children a true appreciation of the value of one’s work. In this sense, we are all duty-bearers. But above that, we are Filipinos. Aside From our laws, what also bind us are our values, our sense of pakikipagkapwa, pagpapakatao, our pride in our own work, and our respect for each other’s work,” wika ni Rex Education Chairman Atty. Dominador Buhain sa kanyang talumpati.
