LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — Wasting no time to help the distressed in this historic resort city, Congresswoman Cindi Chan personally distributed on Tuesday evening food and non-food packs to Barangay Ibo fire victims.
On Monday night, January 16, a fire struck Sitio Commonwealth, Barangay Ibo, affecting a total of 167 families or 486 individuals and destroying 63 houses with estimated damage in properties amounting to P405,000.
Assisted by her staff, Cong Cindi handed meal packs and bottled water to victims who are temporarily sheltered at the Ibo Sports Complex.
She also distributed hygiene kits containing soap, alcohol, toilet paper, toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, shampoo, detergent, and many others.
Bottled water, 10-liter water jugs for small families, and bigger water containers for large families were also given by the lady lawmaker who is also the wife of Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan. (ai/mtvn)
