MANILA — Another member of the terrorist group Daulah Islamiyah was arrested during a police operation in Cotabato on Tuesday morning.
Citing intelligence reports from PRO 12, PNP chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. said police operatives of President Roxas Municipal Police Station; Tracker Team Echo, Regional Intelligence Division-12, 90th Infantry Battalion of Philippine Army, 72nd Infantry Battalion, 1st Scout Ranger Battalion, and 602nd Brigade Philippine Army served a Warrant of Arrest against Jordan Kamad, alias Jordan Akmad, for the crime of Frustrated Murder and Murder at 7:30 AM on January 17, 2023, at Barangay Salat, Pres. Roxas, Cotabato.
Jordan Kamad, 38 years old, married, is listed in police records as a member of the notorious Alkobar Group and affiliated with Daulah Islamiyah-Maguindanao under the late Salahudin Hassan.
Kamad is the subject of a Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Murder (RPC ART. 248) and Multiple Frustrated Murders under criminal case number 7168-2021 issued by Hon. Jose Tanalgo Tabosares, presiding judge of RTC branch 23 of Kidapawan City, dated September 24, 2021.
“The arrest of Kamad is a significant development in the PNP’s anti-criminality operations and campaign against wanted persons especially known affiliates and supporters of terrorist groups. I commend PBGen Jimili L Macaraeg, Regional Director, PRO12 for this accomplishment and urged every police officer to continue anti-criminality operations to keep our community a safe place to live”, PGen Azurin said.
