MANILA — Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio has lauded the plastic surgeons who are helping children with cleft palate.
Duterte-Carpio joined the Philippine Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (PAPRAS) Induction Ceremonies at the SEDA Hotel, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig and expressed her gratitude for helping the children.
“Lugod kong binabati ang mga plastic, reconstructive, at aesthetic surgeons na nagsilbing tulay sa pagbabago ng buhay ng mga tao, lalo na sa mga pasyenteng may cleft palates, mga naaksidente, at mga nangangailangan ng reconstructive procedures,” she said.
The Vice President also shared her experience during her time as a mayor of Davao City where the City Government of Davao collaborated with Mindanao Aesthetics Plastic Surgery to help children with cleft palates receive free treatment from the government.
Due to the help of our partner surgeons, approximately 100 children with cleft palate were given free treatment.
“Your extraordinary effort, commitment, and determination to sustain the growth of the field of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery in the Philippines will never go unnoticed,” she said.
