MANILA – For the second consecutive day, another lone bettor became an instant millionaire after hitting the PHP37-million jackpot of the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw on Monday night.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), in an advisory Tuesday, said the bettor guessed the winning combination, 17-23-31-10-21-14, and will take the prize money of PHP37,251,519.80.
The winning ticket was bought in Angeles City, Pampanga.
Winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim the prize, as specified in Republic Act 1169, the law on PCSO lotteries.
All jackpot prizes must be claimed at the PCSO main office in Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.
Winners must write their names and signature on the back of the winning tickets and present two government-issued identification cards or documents.
Lotto winnings of more than PHP10,000 are subject to 20 percent tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law.
Meanwhile, 54 others won PHP32,000 each for guessing five out of the six winning digits, while 2,481 will get PHP1,000 each for four correct digits, and 34,097 will settle for PHP30 each for three correct digits.
The 6/45 Mega Lotto is drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
A lone bettor from Lavezares, Northern Samar became an instant millionaire after guessing the six-digit combination of the Super Lotto 6/49 in Sunday night’s draw.
Last Feb.1, two bettors from different regions become instant millionaires after they hit the PHP73-million jackpot of the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw.
The winning tickets were bought in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental and Barangay Pinagkaisahan, Makati City.
The public is encouraged to keep on patronizing the products of PCSO as a large chunk of its revenues goes to charity programs. (PNA)
