MANILA — Far Eastern U-Diliman stormed back from a four-point deficit in the fifth and final set en route to repulsing the University of the East, 23-25, 25-14, 30-28, 18-25, 16-14 for a share of the lead in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) high school boys’ volleyball tournament Thursday at the Paco Arena here.
It was the able duo of Amet Bituin and Jhon Rey Dongon who spearheaded the Baby Tamaraws’ mighty comeback from a 9-13 deficit.
It was the UE Junior Warriors’ first debacle in five games, sliding in the process into a tie for the lead with the gritty FEU-Diliman side at 4-1 together with the University of Santo Tomas.
