ILOILO CITY — Despite the reported increase of duties and taxes, the Bureau of Customs-Port of iloilo (BOC-POI) under District Collector Ciriaco “Dhucky” Ugay still managed to surpass its February 2023 revenue target and collected a total of P255.15 million.

Ugay attributed their accomplishment in hurdling the month’s target of P254.82 million by only P327,000 to the concerted hard work and dedication of the BOC-POI personnel.

He added that the trust and support of the stakeholders also helped the BOC-POI to consistently surpass its collection targets for two months in a row.

Ugay stressed that under the guidance of Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio, the Port of Iloilo remains committed to carrying out the Bureau’s mandates, which are to collect lawful revenues, strengthen border control and enhance trade facilitation.
