MANILA – Luzon and Western Visayas will continue to experience light rains due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan,” the weather bureau said Thursday.
The rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over the eastern section of the country.
Moderate to rough seas are forecast over the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon, the eastern and western seaboards of Southern Luzon, and the eastern and western seaboards of the Visayas.
Mariners, especially those using small seacraft, are advised to take precautionary measures when venturing to the sea and, if possible, avoid navigating in these conditions.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
