MANILA — The Bureau of Customs-Port of Batangas successfully passed the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) conducted by the Interim Internal Quality Management System Office on February 21-23, 2023.
As such, BOC-Batangas Port District Collector Atty. Ma. Rhea Gregorio expressed her gratitude and awarded Certificates of Commendation to the BOC internal auditors for their unwavering support of the Port since its first certification in 2013.
The three-day audit was led by Gladys Cabugawan in preparation for the forthcoming surveillance audit in April.
During the opening conference, the overview of the audit as well as the Port accomplishment highlights was presented.
After the audit, the Port was recommended for an external audit by TUV-SUD after almost zeroing nonconformity for all its 19 enrolled processes to the standards set forth by the International Organization for Standardization.
A TÜV SÜD Certification assures governing bodies and consumers that a product, service, or process has passed relevant safety testing and meets relevant compliance requirements.
BOC-Port of Batangas is running to its 11th year of ISO QMS Certification.
