Baguio City Lone District Congressman Mark Go (left) recently met with Department of Pubic Works and Highways Secretary Manuel Bonoan (second from right) and Usec Cathy Cabral (right) and discussed the results of the feasibility study done on Kennon Road as part of the implementation of his authored law ๐ฅ.๐. ๐ญ๐ญ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ฐ “๐๐๐น๐น ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ป๐ผ๐ป ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฑ” making the major thoroughfare an ๐๐๐-๐ช๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ฅ ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ to be safe, passable, and convenient 365 days a year.
The plan will accordingly end once and for all its “open-close” status.
Secretary Bonoan shared their preliminary recommendations โ tunnels, bridges, and slope protection mechanisms, among others.
After completing technical and engineering design and addressing budgetary requirements, the full rehabilitation work on ennon Road is targetted to begin in 2024. (El Amigo/MTVN)
